I’m from Naarm/Melbourne, Australia and I am the creator of Cosy Ceramics.

I took up pottery as an after-work hobby in 2018, having never really had a creative outlet whilst working in the clinical field. I fell in love with the calming activity of throwing clay onto a spinning wheel and using my hands to produce treasured handmade goodies that I could use around my home, which gave me a feeling of comfort and satisfaction. In 2020, I decided to take the leap into selling my ceramic pieces.

I make functional tableware and homewares that bring a feeling of ‘hygge’ to any space they sit in.

Cosy Ceramics is inspired by my time travelling above the arctic circle, around the same time I began my ceramics journey. Hiking mountain peaks in northern Norway and taking in the views of the fjords below. Sitting in comfy cafes throughout Scandinavia enjoying all the cinnamon buns. Then back home in Melbourne reminiscing, relishing time with family cosied up on the couch with a blanket and a cup of tea.

The process of making ceramics allows me to slow down, create, be mindful and feel joy in making items that can bring a feeling of ‘hygge’ to homes they end up in.

I always appreciate that feeling of hygge. Of being content. Of being cosy.
And I hope my handmade pieces can provide that feeling to you as well.
